Pokemon Stadium is an original 3D Pokemon game. This game happens to be one of my favorites because you get to feel the experience of 3D battling. Pokemon Stadium is for the Nintendo 64 console. In my opinion, it is one of the best Nintendo 64 games ever made. There are many unique features in this game.

One unique thing that I liked was the transfer pak feature. You can use Pokemon in your Red or Blue version games in the battles. Having strong Level 100 Pokemon in your Red or Blue version games turned out to be a good thing. Because of this, your opponent (or the computer) is able to have Level 100 Pokemon too. The Red/Blue games had many glitches in it. These glitches allowed your Pokemon to have a variety of attacks. These attacks strengthened your Pokemon. I do not believe Pokemon over level 100 existed in Pokemon Stadium. If you had a Pokemon that was over Level 100, that Pokemon would just be at Level 100 in Pokemon Stadium.

Another thing that I found interesting was the 3D battling. For the first time, you were able to experience actual battles as they were in the anime. You could also see how the different attacks were performed. The Pokemon in battles also had cool animations. These animations showed you a true Pokemon's power.

Besides the fun battling, there is a bit of a story to the game. You can battle the eight gym leaders and receive a trophies. The gym leaders's strength vary from the Pokemon you have with you. If you have an electric Pokemon, the battle may be easier with Misty rather than Brock. These gym leaders battles basically determine on the Pokemon you pick from the beginning. Make sure you pick a variety of types which have a different variety of attacks.

Another feature that Pokemon Stadium has are the mini games. There are nine mini games in total. Each one is completely different. When you play these games a lot, they get severely easy. Some of them require no work or thinking at all. There are some mini games that are challenging at first because you never have seen them before, but playing these games three or four times will make themm easier to play.

Overall, I like Pokemon Stadium, and I think it is a really great game to play especially if you are a beginner at Pokemon. Even if you are not a beginner, this game is pretty fun and can bring back some memories. I give this game a 9/10. The only thing I do not like about the game is that there isn't a lot of plot to the game. It's pretty much a game where you battle other trainers. You do not gain anything from it.
