Pokemon Ranger is a RPG game for the Nintendo DS. This game is much different than the other games that we play. Like the other games, you capture the Pokemon and use them; however in Ranger you do not train these Pokemon. Instead, they are used for helping you capture other Pokemon. Sometimes the Pokemon you capture are used for events in the storyline.

I like Ranger because of the fact that you do not have to train your Pokemon. Ranger has a whole new plot to it, and I was really interested in it when I started playing the game. Listed below are the pros and cons of the game. Note that these pros and cons are based off of my opinion of the game.

Pros: Cons:

First off with the pros. I am someone who dislikes training Pokemon. Even though that's the sole purpose of most of the games, I find it to be boring. In Ranger, training Pokemon is not an issue. Instead, you use a Pokemon's power to assist you with capturing other Pokemon.

The graphics are very good. They are clear and easy to see. The colors are easy on the eyes, and they stand out great.

The sound is also very good. Unlike the first generation games, the sound is outstanding. I think the Nintendo DS console is what makes the sound very clear.

Now when I say that Pokemon is brought to a whole new level, I mean that there is a whole new generation of Pokemon. The strength and value of Pokemon is increasing, and Ranger shows this value.

There aren't many cons as there are pros. I only have two problems with the game. One is that I feel the storyline is a bit short. There are only ten missions in the game, and you can easily beat one mission within an hour. The second is that you can only carry up to 7 Pokemon max, and that is at Rank 10. I usually like to carry a lot of Pokemon with me because they help me with harder captures. Also, some of the Pokemon I carry with me heal my stylist, and it's a shame to see me release some of my Pokemon in order to make room for more.

Overall, I would give this game a 9/10. It shows that a lot of work has been put in this game. If you have a Nintendo DS, definitely buy this game. I'm sure you will like it because I find it to be one of the best Pokemon games out there.
