Pokemon Green is one of the first Pokemon games that was released. Along with Pokemon Red, both games were a big hit in Japan. Unfortunately, this game never was released anywhere else, so you can only find Pokemon Green in its original Japanese version.
If you liked Pokemon Red or Blue, you will then probably like this game as it is no different. The storyline is exactly the same, so you should have no problem getting around even if the text is in Japanese. When I mean exactly the same, I mean the same gym leaders, the same Pokemon appearances, and so on.
You can still buy this game on various websites. It's a great game whether you plan on buying it as a collector's item or just for playing. Overall, I will give this game a 9/10. I personally liked the original Pokemon games the best, and I still do today. There was nothing wrong with this game. The graphics aren't the greatest, but this game was made almost 11 years ago.
One thing you should note is that Pokemon Red and Green were the first 2 games that came out. Pokemon Blue was released earlier in the US and later in Japan. Pokemon Green never made it to the US.
