Pokemon Channel is a good game to get especially if you are a Pokemon fan, however it does have its pros and cons.
Pros- Good graphics
- A never before seen Pichu short
- Quest
- Pikachu can annoy you
- Not much game play
- The game can get boring after a while
I will go over each pro and con that I listed.
The graphics on this game are pretty good. You get a clear image of everything that goes on in the game. There is also 3D Animation in the Pichu Bros. film. The 3D graphics are decent, although I am not too fond of them. I don't see anything wrong with the graphics. The graphics are decent enough to play.
A new episode can be watched in this game. It is a never before seen Pichu Bros. film. The film is about the same time as any other episode (around 20 minutes). If you liked the previous Pichu Bros. films, then you will definately like this one.
I like how this game is in a form of a quest. By quest I mean that you have to search for different things. Also, you can be on a quest to get every item in the game. The game doesn't relate too much to a quest, so if you do not like quests, the game should still be fun for you.
Although there are several pros about the game, there are a few cons too that I found. When you leave the game on and do nothing, Pikachu may want to do other things. Sometimes it will begin to bug you and ask you questions. One thing that I do not like is how Pikachu can freely switch the channels while you are watching your favorite program.
There isn't much game play. You aren't battling or training any Pokemon. All you are doing is unlocking all the channels possible. Once that is done, the game is pretty much beat unless you want to collect all the items, etc.
Because of the lack of game play, the game can get boring after a while. I don't like how you can only unlock a certain amount of channels each day. Because of this, you can easily finish Day 2 within 5 minutes. Even though you can switch the Game Cube clock to speed up the game, I still think that a bit more game play would be fun.
Overall I give Pokemon Channel a 8/10. Even though it has its up and downs, the game is still overall fun.
