While our friends continue their journey, they see a Hitmonchan belonging to a trainer named Anthony. Anthony is training for the P-1 Grand Prix competition. Ash and Brock plan on entering the competition and Team Rocket steals a Hitmonlee and also enters the competition. Ash defeats Team Rocket with his Primeape, but he gives Primeape away to Anthony for some training.
