Ash wants to win a Marsh Badge, and so they go to Lavender Town in order to catch a ghost Pokémon. Ash and Pikachu go in and a chandelier falls on them. Haunter takes out their spirits and they start to fly and play with the ghost Pokémon. They also play a few pranks on Misty and Brock. After their spirits return to their bodies, Haunter agrees to go with them.
