The kids start to leave Porta Vista and head into a festival. The Ghost of the Maiden hypnotizes Brock and James, but the Maiden happens to be a Gastly. They do a Pokémon battle, but Gastly ends up winning. However, the sunlight comes and Gastly disappears as it hates the sunlight.
