Ash and Misty both try to capture an Oddish but they are stopped by a Bulbasaur. The Bulbasaur is one of Melanie's helpers and Melanie takes care of injured Pokémon. Team Rocket then comes and tries to steal the Pokémon, but Ash defeats them. Then Ash battles Bulbsaur and captures it.
