Events: Ash captures a Caterpie and Pidgeotto; Ash's Caterpie evolves into Metapod

This episode starts out with Ash catching a Caterpie. Apparently, Misty hates bugs and wants Caterpie to stay away for her. However, Caterpie likes Misty but Misty just gets angry. Ash gets frustrated that Misty is teasing Caterpie and making fun of him. This gets Caterpie sad so Ash, Pikachu, and Caterpie walk along without her. Misty follows them and makes up an excuse of why she is following them.
Soon it’s nighttime and Ash and Misty are still arguing. Then they fall asleep, but Pikachu and Caterpie are still awake. They talk to each other. The next day, Ash finds a wild Pidgeotto. Ash throws a Pokéball at Pidgeotto but Pidgeotto just reflects the Pokéball in another direction. Ash then gets Caterpie to battle it. In this case, Caterpie gets beaten up pretty badly. Ash calls it back and uses a thundershock from Pikachu to weaken the Pidgeotto. Ash throws another Pokéball and successfully captures it.
Team Rocket comes again and now they want Pikachu. James orders Koffing to use a Sludge Attack on Pikachu so Pikachu can’t fight back. Ash gets angry and calls out Pidgeotto. Ekans and Koffing both dive to get Pidgeotto and they beat Pidgeotto. Ash calls back Pidgeotto and puts Caterpie onto the field. Jessie, James, and Meowth make fun of the Caterpie. Ash tells Caterpie to use a String Shot and surprisingly Ekans and Koffing get defeated. Meowth also get defeated from Caterpie’s String Shot. Team Rocket retreats. Pikachu is healed and they see Caterpie glow. Caterpie evolves into Metapod. Ash is so happy that he has a Metapod. Ash, Misty, and Pikachu walk deeper into the Viridian Forest.
